The Disney Desktop, Parental Controls, Disney Pix software, and basically everything else on the VM works. I set my VM to 25GBs, and it created a second "Local Disk" on the VM itself, containing the rest of the space. Tested working on Windows 10 Home with VirtualBox installed on it. I managed to install it on a blank hard disk in VirtualBox, using this at startup. The ISO file contains a 64-Bit Windows XP Home operating system. Will leave another review (is that possible?) or update this one if I find anything else worth mentioning. Once you reboot when it prompts you, the app will no longer start so no more alert boxes. To get rid of these, launch msconfig from Run or whatever and uncheck AsAcpiSvr in the Startup tab. Once you reboot with the new driver you'll then get further nags about other drivers specific to the netbooks which of course you don't have unless you're installing on actual hardware.
Whether you need the drivers included with the VB Guest Addons I'm not sure but you'll be installing that anyway I presume.
In Device Manager, "Update" the driver for ACPI to the ASUS one ("I will choose which driver to install"). It installs but BSODed on boot for me.ģ) The first link for removing Genuine Advantage seems to be the only one necessary as the second link covers Windows activation which can be done by phone as the preinstalled key is genuine but a more convenient way that doesn't involve making a phone-call might be to use this guide instead: Ĥ) You can install the ASUS ACPI driver but it doesn't help much. Installing this on VirtualBox as 圆4 (as I did) may be a problem as this install is very sluggish compared to another I have but that may just be all the bloat (which is cool to explore) and the 圆4 option in VB may not matter at all I don't know.Ģ) Don't bother trying to use VMware. In fact, System Properties says it's Home Edition which never had a 圆4 version anyway. 1) I very much doubt this is a 圆4 build of XP.
